Thomas Edison Invented the Incandescent Light Bulb. I don't know who made the first Light Bulb but I know it lasted for only five minutes. Edison was the first to make a lasting light bulb that's why he is the one remembered for it.

Everyone thinks Edison invented the electric light bulb but they are wrong! Humphry Davy an English chemist invented the light bulb in 1809......Edison merely put the patent in, so every one thought HE was the inventor!

Edison is the first one to make a practical light bulb. His was rugged enough to survive mechanical bumps and to keep burning for a reasonable number of hours. Other inventors tried bu did not persist until they had something really usable.
