Many people choose not to believe what their church/preacher says. This is how the different religions and branches of Christianity formed. Worshiping at your own home is fine if you are very truthful and diligent about it, but it certaintly doesn't satisfy your soul as much as going to service. If you're Roman Catholic or Greek Orthodox, you must go to Mass every Sunday. If you find another preacher and you better accept what they say, it's your decision. No matter what, just be a good person and live every day like it's your last day. Then, you'll end up in a good place.

First, do you view a Preacher as a direct messenger of GOD? Or do you see a preacher as an individual who has studied the religious scriptures and tries to explain or discuss them for out better understanding?
Any THOUGHT is worth discussing, maybe not as a challenge, but for more background information on which to form your own beliefs a yuo grow. Be open-minded, not antagonistic. Listen and learn. What is not always the most popular thing, especially among young people, is the "best" path to follow. Use your own judgment based upon lots of info from conversations. Seek more info if you need. Research things for yourself. But talk-talk-talk and open your mind to knowledge.

To be a good Christian you should check what your pastor says against the Word of God. The Bible is the ultimate authority and is to be trusted. A preacher is a human and he can make mistakes. There is supposed to be an open door to speak with the pastor if you don't agree with him. If you go in humility and with respect and present your questions to him, a good pastor will listen and discuss it with you.
You shouldn't choose your pastor based on if he teaches what you want to hear, you should choose based on where God has placed you.
You can worship at home, but the Bible tells us to not forsake the assembling of the saints. I don't believe this to mean specifically going to church. I believe it means to make sure that you have meaningful relationships with other Christians. To have others to talk to in your struggles, people that will be willing to do Matthew 18 with you if you are straying from the path.... We need other Christians to help us stay on track and to encourage one another. Worship in the corporate setting is more powerful too in my experience. I listen to the sermons online, but it's so much more fulfilling to be there in person.

A lot of people have become dissatisfied with their churches--and pastors. If that's the case, finding another churcch is certainly ok. As for worshipping at home, there are an estimated 2 million people doing just that. Usually they are part of a group of others of like mind and they meet in their homes for prayer, worship, etc.

Preachers are sinners also. Your spiritual worship is not restricted to Sunday only. Sunday is not the ONLY day for worship. If you take every word that a preacher tells you without checking against the Bible. Then they can convince you it's there and can lead you astray very easily.

worship wherever you are. Accept Jesus and He will love you forever. He died for us and your cynical comments break my heart. Accept Jesus before its too late and you end up wishing you had of accepted the keys to everlasting life. Not every preacher is a good one or has our best interest in mind. I read the Bible at home. I think people dont believe in God because the Bible has some hard to understand things in it. The Bible is a book to help us understand humanity and to give us advice on moralty and love. Everytime i have problem i open my bible and read a scripture and feel better and feel at peace.

Most assuredly not! Very few preachers have the truth. Most are looking toward a big collection. We have found many who preach the truth get it from our publications. We even see some attending our meetings!
Want to study first hand. Click the link below our website is full of clear answers. Go to the index and look around. Be prepared to spend a while, and you might want to add it to your favorites in your computer! Remember this also, God told us not to forsake assembling ourselves together.

Umm what you should do is take notes when he is talking then later at your house look those things up and any and all references he might give during his sermon. If the Bible disagrees with it you might want to talk to your pastor and/or find a different church. Also are you trying to avoid swallowing the truth(if it is true) or are really searching for God?

Critical thinking, that is, thinking about other possibilities rather than accepting what is thrown at you is encouraged. Seeking education on your own time by reading The Bible and worshiping at home on your own time (and in private like the Bible says that God prefers) is absolutely great!

No, you can listen to what the preacher says, hear his/her opinion about it, and form your own opinion. Everyone has a different opinion on something.
You can worship at your own home, but the Bible asks that all worship together.
