I wish in Our schools/ colleges, atleast 5 languages should be taught at different stages. Local language, Hindi and English should be compulsorily taught. Neighbouring State language aand any one foreign language like Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, French ,Arabic or any such foreign language should be taught as optional and for these Optional languages State and Central Governments Shd provide Special and attractive Scholarships. This will enable india and and Indians present everywhere throughout the world and we will occupy important positions through out world with our intelligent and knowldgeable people. Let India be everywhere , unlike at present only in USA/UK/ Canada/ Australia where we enter due to our Strength in English. Let us think of our children learning additional Foreign languages to rule other countries also.

Its easy to say than done. five languages for students at schooling. well we already have more than 65 dialects in india and we learn according to our priority . i.e when you are in north india you learn hindi and the local language. when you are in sothindia you learn one of the local language and hindi of course. now learning a foreign laguage during schooling is already done by some schools. some teach Arabic , french and portugese. this is done basically depending on the priority and requirement of the concerned student.
Hence if one wants to get schooling done in a particular language . its possible in some part . Professionally when a person wants to select a job in a foreign country . he can do the course in his college years as in colleges you can learn laguages as per your choice. if not , Distant education is always at an armsdistance which can be used at any time .
To become global one need not learn all the languages . the best language is that of friendship and love which can be felt in the heart. this is enough for making anybody global

All time! if they leave their own country and go a country that does not speak their native language English is the only international language and most signs everywhere will be in English as well as the local language 2. It is possible for children to learn a number of languages if they are taught from childhood.
It is a good idea to learn English, mother tongue, Hindi and another regional language and a foreign language.
A child of 2 years, , I know, can speak Hindi, English, Tamil and German.
I am sure Indians with their intelligence can go places.
I can also speak 5 languages fluently.
According to medical research speaking more than one language at the same time prevents Alzheimer's in elderly people.

Our education system is already so much overloaded, nobody likes it. But one can learn as many languages as possible.
BTW, how many products have been invented and manufactured in India to call ourselves as the most intelligent species in the world?. Even in IT, where we brag so much, just have a look at your desktop. PC, Printer,Windows OS, coke etc. Anything Indian?. Most of the MNCs are eyeing at the big market to dump their products. This is only a hype.

i am completely agree with u with english only it is hard to rule evrery where as ,a large part of world population do n't use it as either first or second language.for eg if one want to canada then french is a must for those who r seeking a job or r interested in gaining higher education there.
1/6 th of mankind (chinese) uses mandarin as their mother tongue & most of them don't understand english & as this century is an asian century so it is really necessary to learn chinese language.
in latin america & large part of africa spanish & portugese r first language.so if just only cofined to english then such a large part of globe can't be used by indians.
so it is really necessary to introduce more languages to childern at school level.

you may think of teaching them foreign languages but not all people are willin to study foreign languages from the primary classes...the workload for the student will increase very fast by implemnting this

languages can be learnt otherwise as well.. so y only look in schools for that...
