Your best bet is to think of what u want to use it for, if u want just mp3's go for it. If your looking to get movies, software etc. then I suggest going with a torrent program like bitcomet, or utorrent, theres a bunch just google it to find more.
I personally use bearshare for my music as I find it faster and easier then limewire. If you decide on bearshare over limewire I suggest downloading a full version off a torrent, just to spare yourself the agony of spyware that comes with it when u download the free version off the internet.
Whatever you decide to do, be cautious as it is the INTERNET and viruses run rampant.

My Dear Friend,
First of all, Limewire is Hard Spyware. It will demolish your entire computer system and throw all your personal information on share...I request you NOT TO USE LIMEWIRE AT ALL.If U have then Un-install NOW.
Better to use Bit-torrent software or more better buy a affordable CD/DVD.
Take care of your computer more...It will take care of you in coming days.

Well, when it works it great, from my experience it depends on what time of day you download things as to the speed it downloads, because i started to download 1 song yesterday and it only finished about 3 hours ago! but the other night at about 11pm i tried downloading a song and it did it in about 5 mins.

http://www.limewire.com/ is the most used free file sharing site. make sure you have anti virus running before swapping any files. the free edition of avg available from http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ does a good job. once you have installed limewire do a search for limewire pro. then install this and delete the original. pro is faster.

Limewire is OK for downloading music. I wouldn't trust it at all for downloading applications as alot seem to have viruses attached. Stick to MP3's and don't download WMA files. As with all file sharing networks don't touch one unless you have up to date virus protection.

I have been using LimeWire for a couple of years now, it's not bad, bit slow getting connected sometimes, I think it depends what time of day it is.
The upside is you don't get pop-up's or averts.

anyway limewire is unstable ,full of viruses,spyware and is slow and also achieves slow dwnload speeds.
instead dowloaud utorrent
then search mininova.org for watever u want
