I've been on a no sugar low carb diet since Jan. 1 and my old clothes are literally falling off me. All the fat around my middle is gone (well, not all yet- but I no longer look pregnant!). Even my upper body has lost weight because blouses fit. I exercise 4 times a week, so it's not like I'm knocking myself out every day either. In another 6-8 weeks I'll have gone down 2 sizes. I only take vitamins, no diet drugs or pills either.

As an added "side effect"- my anxiety and stress level has gone down to almost nothing. The doctor said the sugar was giving me insulin rushes, which were in turn giving me adrenaline rushes. I used to say "It's just me- I'm just nervous all the time" but I'm NOT anymore. My moods are better, my skin looks younger, I'm just so pleased with the results.

I recently got a copy of the book Atkins For Life, which explains the process very well, and also offers great recipes, and the best food choices. My husband has been on it too, and he's lost his pot belly, plus he doesn't fall asleep after dinner! He says he feels so much better.

Try a cleansing diet! I did and lost 11 pounds and 21 inches in only 9 days. I was very happy with the results and continued on the program and lost 29 pounds in 5 weeks. This is the fastest I have ever lost with other diets like Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Medifast, Slimfast etc…. Cleansing works by removing toxins from your body. You get toxins from your food (pesticides, preservatives, food additives, colorings) water, chemicals, pollution, medications, alcohol, hormones that the animals you eat were fed etc….YUCK! The toxins get coated with fat and remain in your body. To remove the fat, you have to remove the toxins. This system worked for me, maybe it can work for you too. You can check out the website or call this toll free number 1-877-587-4647 for more info. The program is not cheap, but it is worth every penny since it works and keeps you motivated. Good luck! I used SparkPeople last year. Free site after registration.

Diets that work tend to have 1 basic thing in common - they address your eating and exercise habits that had you gain weight in the first place. There is no going on or going off a diet. You need to change your eating habits for the long term.

Good luck! I lost over 20 pounds, down to a healthy BMI, and now am a runner! Completely different person now.

An Atkins-type diet. The weight loss was amazing, but even better was feeling so healthy and fit.

One meal a day. At the same time every day. But to keep the weight off, you have to eat healthy and exercise.
