I was driving home and a "homeless" person came to my window to ask for money. Honestly, I didn't have any. All I had was a nickel in my ashtray and I did my best by giving it to him.

He got all upset and said he gets more "from any old ni*gger going to sunday church" and proceeded to throw back the nickel at me.

What the hell is wrong with people today !?

Where I live there are homeless people but you have to be so careful in giving them money there is a guy that stands at an intersection all the time with a sign that says he is homeless and hungry. in reality his home is nicer than mine. he drives a newer car than most people he parks in a plaza parking lot. It is his job, that is how he makes his money. I often suggest a homeless shelter and tell them how to get there and say that is where I give my money.

He was probably emotionally disturbed.I talked with a therapist who works with disturbed people, and most of them end up on the street because the State treats them horribly.

There is a reason this man is homeless and begging.... he more than likely cannot make it in the world, and you saw why. Have empthy, do what you can, and don't take it personally.
