If time is not an issue, is one method better than the other for cooking or warming up food? Any difference on health or taste with either choice?

I agree with pretty much everyone here - Toaster ovens for most things. That being said, it depends on the item.

I NEVER heat up meat in the oven or toaster oven. I think they become dried out. I just add a little moisture to what ever I'm heating up, and nuke it for a small amount of time. It heats it up with out drying out. But I NEVER cook - rice and popcorn being the exception - anything in the microwave. I think it cooks too fast, doesn't allow the flavors to marry, and doesn't brown nicely.

To me it depends on what you're making. Toaster ovens can be useful, but mine broke and really I use the microwave far more. So I've never replaced it. But it made great cheese toast without having to fire up the broiler. I do miss my toaster oven though.

A microwave will cook much more variety than a toaster.

I prefer the toaster over for anything that has a crust or needs to be crispy, left over pizza, chicken parm, french fries. I microwave pasta, veggies, rice, anything else that the consistency doesn't really matter. As for health, I don't think that one is healthier over the other but I am sure that someone will argue that the microwave is detrimental to your health.

Pretty much depends on what you are trying to heat up.
But, I would say for most things, toaster oven over the microwave.

Toaster oven's better, but you really can't stick a bag of popcorn or bowl of green beans in it.

Depends, something like spaghetti or soup, microwave.

Something like pizza or a sandwich, toaster oven.

Actually, best way to warm up cold pizza, frying pan on low heat.

I use my combination oven for everything. Combination is microwave, grill, turbo, fan assisted oven.

The only time I used my conventional cooker was at Xmas for the turkey.
