Make sure you have a meal beforehand but come prepared with a drink and snacks. Warn the artist that you tend to become faint. Don't watch them do the tattoo. When you START feeling faint, tell the artist you need a short break. Relax and have your snacks.
After around 10 minutes, continue your tattoo.
My body's natural reaction to any kind of needles (tattoos, piercings, bloodwork) is to have me throw up or faint. I can feel it coming on so I know when to stop and take a break. Once I break for 10 minutes, I'm good to go for the rest of the session.
Give it a try. :)

Well it's not like the blood is flowing out in huge streams, unless you get freaked about by a slight scratch? If that's the case, don't let is stop you from getting the tatt. Just explain it to the artist, they'll understand, guarantee it. If they have been tattooing long enought--they have seen every reaction in the book.
If you explain, I'm sure they'll try their best to keep the blood out of your site and wipe it away.
And if all else fails, and you freak out, just leave a really nice tip..and tell them that if you faint, just continue on with the tatt.
rock on

You don't gush blood, but there will be overall a few drops worth. Just try your best to relax and not view the tattoo while its happening and have a friend stick with you for the day so if you do pass out, someone will be around.

I did not bleed at all with my tattoo, and my boyfriend has several and says the only one that made him bleed was at his neck. You may not bleed at all, and if you are afraid you might bleed then just don't look until its all done. And IF you do bleed, it won't be gushing out of you, more like you scraped your self. Do not take aspirin or ibuprofen before you go though, they are blood thinners and then you would be more likely to bleed, and you would bleed more. Don't back out, its a few moments of pain for something that will last a lifetime!!
Good Luck!

The best I can tell you is to ask them to put your arm a way where you can't see it. Tats hurt like crazy dude, I mean it. If you can't see your own blood, brother I might bottle out. Or if you end up conkin' just tell em your drunk. They'll laugh and go on about biz. Plus, I hear if you zzzz, they give a discount.
As far as maintaining the ink, I would have someone else do it, because pus/ink/blood all goop out if it. The best way to heal a tat is to use Neosporin on it, with plastic wrap over the tat, and tape it. Make sure they do a stencil to see it if looks ok.
Good luck brotha!

A tattoo shop does not look like a slaughter house on the inside. Well, it better not anyways. Just let the artist know, he or she will help you out by wiping you off often, and joking with you throughout the process. You'll be fine. Good luck.

just dont look at the needle of the area getting tatted when you go its that simple..pluse when the blood comes out it looks like the color of the ink that got put in its not that bad and unless your a hemopheliac (in wich case you shouldnt get a tattoo) then you should be fine

i don't like blood either. tho it doesn't bother me to see my own blood but you don't have to look at it or watch. i NEVER watch because i think it hurts more. if the blood is the only thing that is holding you back then i say go for it. most people don't bleed much anyway. i think you'll be fine. just be sure to eat a good meal before you go.
