My husband, 20 month old daugher, and myself just sat down last night doing Valentines....we cut out hearts (whatever size you want the valentine to be) from red and pink construction paper then let our daughter place valentines stickers that we bought wherever she wanted on the valentines then my husband made envelopes to mail them in. Of course we wrote happy valentines day on the front and put from her on the inside. Cute, short project for a short attention span!

Get a piece of posterboard. Make some of your own fingerpaint (sweetened condensed milk and food coloring--dries glossy and nontoxic if he puts his hands in his mouth) and let him cover the whole thing. Then you can cut hearts out. Then get an ink pad, put ink all over his hand and do a handprint on the back of each heart, and write the to/from on it for him.

when I taught pre-college & kindergarten, i might plan a Valentine's Day Tea occasion. In coaching each and each newborn might make a Valentine holder, usually 2 heavy products of paper formed like hearts. they might decorate the hearts how they enjoyed and then i might punch holes around the factors and backside and that they might stitch them inclusive of yarn of their determination. (super wonderful motor skills excercise) Then on V day, on the initiating of the day, we'd have tea and treats, no longer too plenty sugar and ask mothers and fathers to stay slightly. It became right into a advantageous social time, and a advantageous thank you to bypass to and spend little bit of time with mothers and fathers and characteristic them spend time with one yet another too. each and each newborn might convey a valentine for each man or woman in the type. additionally, mkaing valentines is relaxing, too. the shop offered ones might nicely be so well-known and little ones arise with such astounding resourceful suggestions for his or her valentines... have relaxing!

You could use finger paints and make an imprint of their hand on a heart, you cut out of construction paper and write something like, "when you hold my hand you hold my heart" or "your heart is in my hand".
