my grandfather passed recently and when i was a kid we were close spent many summers together and took many road trips. as i got older my parents split and my relationship with him and my grandma diminished. he had been sick for along time and finally passed away peacefully at his home. he had suffered a stroke and passed shortly afterwards. i went and saw him in the hospital before he was taken home and he was aware as to who i was but was upset because he couldnt remember my name. i had brought my youngest child his newest grandbaby to see him. he was so happy to see her and just wanted to touch her. which was not like him at all he was a very stubborn not affectionate man. i have been having alot of dreams about him just standing there. he doesnt say anything and he just stares at me. anyone know what it could mean. thanks

If is not unusual to dream about someone who has recently passed. It probably means that you miss him and your subconscious mind is making him "alive" for you. I don't know why he doesn't talk in your dreams, but chances are you do, even if you are not really aware of it. I suppose it might have something to do with the diminished relationship you mentioned, but that's only a guess.

You seem to have fond memories of your Grandfather. Treasure them, and teach your daughter what a lovely person her great-grandpa was.

This is probably something known as coping dreams or grief-based dreams. Some argue that this simply an emotional coping mechanism that your brain does others see its roots in a spiritual experience.

Either way the dream itself probably does not have some deep symbolic meaning. The meaning is simple. Your grandfather is there he loves you. Though he may not know your name, you can be confident by the way he looks at you that he KNOWS you and that he LOVES you. And that HE IS OK. And that you will be O.

It sounds like you miss your grandfather. We can't explain what happens to the mind when we get older. Your dreams sounds like you didn't get closure in life and you are seeking it through your dreams. Have comfort in knowing that he will no longer suffer on this earth. You will see him again and so will your children. Have comfort in knowing that he is in the best of hands now. GOD is taking care of him now. If you see your grandfather again in your dreams, go and hug him and tell him you will see him again. This will make you feel so much better. Thank you and GOD bless.

i send my Condolenses...
it was said in some buddism scriptures tat b4 a person dies, he or she will know... he/ she will behave strangely before the passing on... some will forget the one he/ she loves some will forget the one he/ she hates... there's really no answer.
personally i feel that you actually have the idea of the reason y he stared at you . Still, watever e reason mayb, it's over.. be thankful of wat he had given to u and wat you had provided for him. treasure the fond memory and you know that love lasts as long as the memory lingers.

it would take a psychologist to tell you what it might mean, but i do know its something to do with your sub-conscious, ask this question in psychology, they might be able to tell you.

Maybe he just wants you to know that he loves you.
