I am 23yrs old, just recently started dating a girl who is in my grad school classes. By valentines day we will have been dating for almost 3 weeks.

Any unique ideas (meaning not flowers or dinner) that would be appropriate for this situation?

Have a romantic evening in! Light some candles, break out the champagne, and make your own chocolate covered strawberries!

It's sweet, romantic but not over-the-top, and something fun to do together.

Good luck!

I know you said "not flowers"

But, if you can, I think you should get a single red rose and leave it on her doorstep or somewhere else where she'll be sure to see it as soon as she gets out of the house. That way she'll be thinking of you the whole day and she'll know you're thinking of her. Make sure you wake up early enough to plant the rose before she leaves!

Well since you been dating for a short period of time give her something simple. I would suggest
nothing flashy, homemade,or cheap. Get her something like a necklace or any type of jewelry
a trip to the spa, roses, romantic dinner. Basically give something from yourheart.

i don´t know about your financial situation but flowers or chocolate will bee good by the moment, maybe both. Or a dinner in a special place.

a necklace or bracelet and a "coupon book" with things such as "free back rub" ," neck massage", or "romantic moonlit walk". she'll love it. don't just do the book however, that may seem like you don't want to spend any money on her. the jewelry doesn't have to be extremely expensive either.
