In my opinion Religion was created to oppress our innate divinity and control the masses to promote one limited idea of what God is. The fact is that God or whatever you want to call the Divine. Is everything!! It is Jesus, It is Allah, It is Jehova, It is the Moon, It is the Sun, It is Vishnu, Buddha, A Horned Goat, It is All these things!!!!
When the world realizes that the nature of god is totally inclusive, to all people, all religions, all races, all genders, all sexual preferences, all ways of life. Then we can get on with creating beautiful things that will catapult us forward towards a more expanded state of being.
I believe it is definately possible that this can occur in our lifetime. We are experiencing many upheavals in our world today which to me indicate old systems of thought are breaking down because they are no longer working and new paradigms of thought are establishing themselves.
A lot of energy would be saved if we were all able to work together rather than competing for every single resource.

Interesting. Yes, I think NO religion or a universal religion could very well enhance peace. Prior to the rise of In do-European culture, a large part of Europe and Asia shows signs of a universal Goddess Religion. Of course, some symbols and rituals varied by location, but they were still recognizable as the same issue. Take two Catholic Churches, for example. One might sing the Our Father and another might speak it but hold hands as well. Groups tend to support and come to the aide of others of their same religion. Take Islam, for example. Muslims tend to give huge amounts of aide and charity to poorer or in-trouble Muslims. This has seriously improved the lives of countless Muslims all over the world. However, I would worry about one thing. When everyone is the same religion, ethnic lines seem to be drawn. Islam, again, is a good example. Most Arab Muslims seem to think they are "better" than all the other Muslims. I have heard this said so many times by both sides and have read so many instances about it. So...ugh. Plus, one of the issues when the In do-Europeans came on the scene was that it was a warrior, patriarchal culture and religion. That kind of started all the fighting. OK, so, one religion and/or a matriarchal society!

As long as people aren't mind-cloned there will always be stupid/crazy people that decide to take the easy way out,in regards to explaining their existence, with some type of religion. Humans are the most ruthless creatures this planet has ever seen, and though religion is the force behind most wars, and possibly the key to a self-fulfilled prophecy of apocalypse, I would bet we would find other reasons to kill each other.
It sounds great, but most things that have sounded great before have wound up sucking big time. I think the key is to offer those misled souls, that have been sucked into religion, a place in the world, regardless of their beliefs; however, freethinkers MUST not continue to appease and tolerate the intolerant thugs that use their religion as a weapon. A policy of containment, if you will.

there is the revolt of a pretend faith contained in the destiny, which will declare to paintings contained in the call of God even as fairly opposing him. This faith may be compelled upon human beings- see Revelation thirteen about the antichrist & beast etc. & Daniel 2 & 7. some imagine it is going to come from Rome because the legs of iron in Daniel 2 obviously symbolize the Roman empire & Daniel 7 & Revelation thirteen are all speaking about an identical prophecy yet now using beasts for instance it fairly than the statue, & in prophecy the beast comes from that forth kingdom which truthfully change into Rome. So some reckon it has something to do with the papacy, pope, etc..

People need a way to live, religion binds them. I have no religion and I am content but if you look at the world...just imagine if we took religion away what will they have, what will they do?
If religion never existed it would be okay but it definately would have been replaced by something. Its the way of the world, no religion would mean more chaos

Is it possible , a world with no religion?
of course its not possible, because human beings need to feel the slavery for God who created them. and if that happened the world would be worst because religion is peace, mercy and love and without it there will be no peace and we will distroy our world..
Is it possible , a world with a universal religion?
no its not because people have different beliefs and they think in different ways, but if that heppened imagine how peaceful the world would be...
peace be upon you

A world without religion would be perfect however all of the weak and stupid of the world need something to cling to to give them meaning in their lives. That is why organized religion as we see it was developed, to explain the unknown in magical terms and to control the sheep.

I believe that one day in the very distant future we will all be one race, and one religion. All our differences will eventually meld into one and we will find the truth about everything. Of course that will require that we don't blow up or destroy our own planet in the meantime, and that's a stronger possibility yet.
