If a married guy comes up and gives a girl a hug and a kiss on the cheek, it is automatically assumed that it is just a friendly one. But ...if a single guy gives a girl hug and a brief kiss on the cheek does it mean he is interested or just being friendly. I'm clueless!

Does he act this way with all the other girls in the group? Maybe he's just a flirtatious guy... If he's like that only with you than maybe it has a deeper significance. Also look for other things... the way he treats you, does he pay a lot of attention to you, act really sweet and friendly, ask you lots of questions, seem really interested in you....?

He's just being friendly really why I said that is because theres the friendly hug where its just a hug and a simple kiss on the cheek no real body contact. Then there is the interested in you hug where his pelvis is pressed against yours thats the I'm interested in you hug.
