Should they be put under tighter regulations? Should they be made more transparent? Or do you think that in a perfect world you can have shadowy assassins but no one else should?

you all seem to truly not know why you got bombed that day. It has been made public, although not repeated as much as "they want to kill all infidels" That's the oldest propaganda trick in the book, display them as irrational, blood thirsty, want to kill you all's.

You got bombed on 9/11 as a warning to the CIA to stop supporting a rebellion in thier country.

No.

1. If we disbanded the CIA, we'd just have to create another one.

2. The CIA is an organization, not a person, and part of a complex system. You can't, and shouldn't bother to try, to punish it for past failings. You should try to administer it better, but I think the idea that our current problems are due to a rogue CIA ignores that fact that we have a much worse rogue presidency.

3. No perfect worlds are available at the moment. The fact is other folks are going to have spies, and some shadowy assassins too, whether we do or not.

4. The CIA is not responsible for 9/11; al Qaeda is. I'm not approving the half century of crappy policies and blundered covert actions in the Middle East, starting with the overthrow of Mossadeq, but the fact is if you had abolished the CIA in 1992, say, al Qaeda would have plowed ahead and still done what it did. If you're arguing that the US should have had no Middle East involvement for the last half century, go ahead, but that's mostly not the CIA's fault.

The fact its an imperfect world is why we have "shadowy assassins", if it were a perfect world we wouldn't need them.

P.S. The CIA being more transparent is like the police calling the crack den and saying "get ready guy's we're going to raid you tomorrow at three"

Whats this "You got bombed" crap? Where are you from anyway, if it isn't the U.S. why do you think you have an oppinion?

In a perfect world only the good guys have guns.

I say keep nuclear weapons out of the hands of barbarians and the civilised world depends upon American strength for it's survival. Note also that the limp wristed open butt appeasers need America to be in charge more than anyone else. It's only American power that will tolerate decadent left liberalism. Do you think the comunists or the Jihadists would tolerate them if they had the whip hand in the world?

The CIA definitely makes mistakes. But I'm positive they have saved quite a few more lives than they have caused deaths to.

Although it is true that intelligence concerning September 11th was essentially ineffective, I do not agree that the CIA should be disbanded or that classified information should be made public. It would ultimately lead to chaos.

ROFLMAO!!! Sorry but I can't see that EVER happening. They have WAY too much power.

EDIT- I agree with you, but it is not a popular view in the US. First off, the media doesn't report on truth. And if you happen to subscribe to this view, folks are real quick to call you "Anti-American." They are usually the ones waving the flag and yelling that "We're number one" Check this out:

I think the CIA personnel who were in charge should lose their jobs. And I think that we should have more control over what the CIA does and we should be able to see what good they do in order to see if we need to restructure their whole agency.

No. In fact, they should be given a B1 with a couple of nukes to irradiate the camel jockies who perpetrated the mass murder of over 3000 innocent mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, sons and daughters who died in the WTC. If during the course we wipe out a few civilians in the process, we will have less of them to deal with in the future.

No, CIA was just a scapegoat used by the President for initiating the war.
