Hello I would like to know more about what you know about the effects of irregular sleeping hrs.

I'm a college student, I bought a laptop and got internet connection this past year. I did not know how to deal with this and eventually got to the point where I was on the internet until 2 o 3 am or even until 6 am.

although I did sleep that late, I did slept until 11 am or so. So I did get sleeping hours but just at irregular times. I mention this because sometimes irregular sleeping hours is tought to be the same as sleep deprivation (not sleeping enough hours).

So I did sleep liki 6 -8 hours but just went to bed late and slept late. Sometimes went to bed at 1:00 am, 2:00 am , 3:00 am

I know now that this was wrong.

But what would be the effects of having done that for the entire past year? Do neurons burn out, will I get sick, I don't know. I just feel bad for having made such poor decisions.

I've had the same problem before. I'll be honest with you: having irregular sleeping hours sucks. What I started experiencing was exhaustion all the time, even if I got 8 hours of sleep. My problem was that I wasn't going to sleep and waking up at the same time every day, and my body couldn't adjust to a pattern, which really messed it up. My grades started dropping, my mood dropped, I was irritable - all the negative side effects of sleep deprivation. I've had to be really careful not to let myself slip into that again. Now I usually go to bed at 11 or 12 p.m. and I wake up at about 9 a.m. feeling rested.

certain sleep majorly impacts your wellness. adolescents favor about 8-10 hours of sleep a nighttime. similar with adults. once you sleep your body relax's and heals its self. your favor sleep. in case your existence-sort is annoying try replacing it.. if its out of your means then merely attempt to get atleast 8 hours of sleep. hahaha! talk about sleep i dont even know what that is! lol jk i go 2 bed at 6am and wake up at 10am XD lol feelin like a vamp ah hahaha
