Try a cleansing diet! I did and lost 11 pounds and 21 inches in only 9 days. I was very happy with the results and continued on the program and lost 29 pounds in 5 weeks. This is the fastest I have ever lost with other diets like Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Medifast, Slimfast etc…. Cleansing works by removing toxins from your body. You get toxins from your food (pesticides, preservatives, food additives, colorings) water, chemicals, pollution, medications, alcohol, hormones that the animals you eat were fed etc….YUCK! The toxins get coated with fat and remain in your body. To remove the fat, you have to remove the toxins. This system worked for me, maybe it can work for you too. You can check out the website or call this toll free number 1-877-587-4647 for more info. The program is not cheap, but it is worth every penny since it works and keeps you motivated. Good luck! Twenty pounds is a lot of weight! Trying to lose it before summer may or may not be a healthy goal. What honestly is the truth is: eat less, move more. That is what will help drop pounds. However, losing them healthfully is the best thing.

Slim Fast is not going to help. More often than not, people say, "Yeah, it goes great with a meal." The truth is you could have a healthy turkey breast sandwich on light bread with tomato and lettuce and a light condiment for the same amount of calories. That would give you healthy, filling food in place of a vitamin "shake."

I'm a big fan of weighwatchers and I do NOT work for them but I'm a member since 1983. I think it's still free registration and you can drop by a meeting (one!) to see what it's like. There's even an on-line version but I do meetings and I'm a "lifetimer" meaning I reached goal and kept it off (or went over again and lost it, too!). You can do this but really consider something that is going to be a) healthy and b) something you can do the rest of your life. It's like that saying, "Give a man a fish and he'll eat today but teach him how to fish and he'll be able to live."
Best wishes!

Get a good diet and exercise program in place, and stick to it. Fortunately, you have plenty of time so you don't have to resort to something drastic or temporary. Address the root cause of your weight gain (diet and exercise habits), and you can take off the weight in a healthy way and be more likely to keep it off.

Strive for at least 30 minutes of exercise, 3 times a week. Don't worry about the intensity now - focus on the habit.

Eat 500 calories less per day than you do now... if you do this, you will lose a pound a week. This gets a little tricky, since you need a minimum of 1,200 calories a day, and if you exercise intensely, you may need more. Log in every single calorie at first. It will really shine a light on where the problems in your diet lie.

eat less then 2000 cals a day, work out 5 times a week. Do yoga and have self-esteem. You'll loose more then 20 lbs. Oh and diet pills are really bad for you, once you stop eating them, whatever you lost will come back! so be careful with that.

What's the deal with people who can't understand the difference between "lose" and "loose"? Try not eating so much.
