I'm 22 years old, have never smoked, done drugs or drank alcohol.I have numbing in my left pinky and ring finger. Now in my lips. This has been off and on for a month until it be came constant a couple days ago. I have really lousy dr.s in my area who don't know a thing. (didn't diagnose my babies thrush, my moms lupus, said allergic reaction was in my head, later discovered i was indeed allergic). I don't have a car so i can't see a different dr. and am not even going to bother going to mine.

all good direction,
i would see a reputable chiropractor asap, and change dr.s..
also the webmd is a good place to start too...
do not do nothing...since it has changed, your body is telling you something..do not ignore it, you have a baby to think of..if you have to pay someone, or return a favor, get a ride to the next city or town..
good luck

there's probably a lot of things it could be, the only experience i have had with numbness in my fingers and lips was caused by a calcium deficiency, which can be very serious, but I'm not a doctor, and I would advise going to one, even if you have to take a bus or a taxi to one, I'll say this there is nothing that is more important than your health, don't be afraid to spend a little extra to go to another city, don't be afraid to be mean to your doctor to get your point across(its a doctors job to help you), ask a friend for a ride, make phone calls, and remember always push push push where your health is concerned. its YOUR life and your body.

Since you are against going to the doc (and I understand, I have had a couple docs like that in my day...) Go to wedmd.com. It might help give some direction as to what is going on. But I think that you really need to see a doctor. Is there anyone that can take you to another area to see a different doctor?

I really wouldn't worry too much about the symptoms the best thing you could do is go to your GP. He's there to listen to you, if you suspect it's something more tell him you want tests done, there's no way he can turn you away because it's his JOB to do that.
The best thing for physical pains would be a holistic therapist - Google it if you aren't aware of what that is.

Go to another Dr. ASAP this could indicate a stroke or nerve damage. You seem young for stroke but it is possible. Good luck.
