I'm pretty nervous, cause I'm taking my test on the 12th, and I'm pretty sure I got down the parallel parking, but what happens if you fail the first time around? Is it the same with a permit, you need to wait a week, or do you have to get a whole new permit and six extra months? I'm only 17 at the moment, but I turn 18 in June...anyone ever have this happen? Thanks for any answers.

Parallel parking is easy. I rather parallel park then drive in a parking lane.

Easiest way is my method. I get right next to the car i am next to clock the steering wheel all the way to the right tell it cannot go right any further. Once I start the initial backing in I satrt easing it slowly to th left and once I am in clock it back to the right some some wheels are street pull forward all set.

And, for driving test make it easy find the largest gap to parallel park in and never ever park in a parking lane next to 2 pickups, 2 suvs, or a suv or pickup find that nice curb parking with no one next to you.

Know your vehicle well.

in maryland you don't. i failed the first time, they said i could come back the next day, i failed the second time and they said i had to wait a week. every time i woud fail after that i would have to wait another week.

i only failed cuz of the parallel parking. i took the car i always drive to the test the third time and passed.

I passed on the third attempt. Is this your first test, because I remember on my first one I felt so embarrassed that I got a major fault and failed. I did even worse on my second test but just shrugged it off and concentrated on getting right what I had done wrong. Each test gets better to deal with.

If your learner's permit has expired, you will need another one;as you have not learned yet.
Know the rules of the road, show no road rage or "attitude" and do other things proper.....be comfortable with your car. Leave music off and cel phone HOME. Know the signs and rules of the road. You'll make it.
