A big mistake made by Bush Administration by listening to a bunch of Iraqis who wanted to overthrow Saddam for their own political and monetary gains.
A better question is, since we were in Afghanistan why didn't we take Iran instead. Almost all these terrorist activities in Lebanon, palestine, Afghanistan and Iraq is sponsored by the government of Iran.

the reason we went over there was no reason actually, but the reason we are over there still, is to help the iraq country honestly, to get the insurgents and the people that supported saddam and doing attacks out of there! to make peace in iraq

Our presence is needed in the middle east because their government is ill-equipped to handle the obvious violence that had spread throughout the various countries. Our men and women of the armed forces are protecting not only the US rights, but the rights of other oppressed people. We are trying to give a voice to the people of the middle east so that they can also enjoy the taste of freedom from tyranny and dictatorship. GOD BLESS OUR ARMED FORCES AND SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!

Because we keep electing government officials who have alterior motives for the moves they make. Such as wanting oil, wanting to control over countries, and wanting to let everyone know we are the biggest and the baddest country.
Instead we should be electing people who don't have their hands in other people's pockets.
