There is always some new "miraculous" herb or herb
mixture that is claimed to either cure Lupus outright or
at least drive it into remission. So far, they have been
proven, under clinical research, to be false claims.

There is no one single cure-all for everything from lupus,
to cancer, to varicose veins, to worrywarts. If only there
were - I've got lupus and worrywarts - bet your partner
has too!

In the last few years, several strict clinical studies were
done in Japan, Korea and other countries. These studies
showed that nutrition is our best hope for controlling our
symptoms and the disease's progression.

In those studies, they found the people who did best with their lupus ate little or no meat, especially beef and pork. They ate little fat, sugar, salt. They ate less processed foods and more natural ones, made with less chemical involvement. They ate little or no "nightshade" plants like tomatos, potatos, mushrooms. They ate smaller amounts of food more often.

If they ate fish, they ate types that were lower in
mercury poisoning than others. If you eat fish, type
"BodyBurden" into your search engine, also "fish",
"mercury" and "EWG". You will find links that will help
you decide which fish is safest to eat.

You see, another factor is environmental conditions.
Researchers have learned that areas which have high
rates of environmental toxins, such as mercury or factory fumes, also have higher rates of autoimmune diseases including lupus, diabetes, RA and others.

Also, mild to moderate exercise, like stretching, walking, even dancing can help as long as we pay attention to our symptoms and learn what works best for us.

What works is different in each of us. Some of us swear tomatos, mushrooms or potatos help us, no matter what the research says. Is it so or is it what we think we know? We can only learn more by reading, trying the tips learned from research and paying close attention to how our own bodies react.

Please, don't depend on so-called miracles. If we're willing to try new things, it will probably do us more good to try the new things researchers have learned from studying folks who also have our illness!

I wish you and your partner good health and happiness!
