is it possible to lose stations by running an auto programming mode on my tv. it is 1 year old and fully hd r

mode on my 1 year old tv-i did that last year and have had several hd stations like 5.1, 7.1--now they are gone--what happened

Some older stations do not have the information stream necessary for the auto program to see them, so they get left out of the sequence when auto is run.

Some stations don't broadcast all the time (for example, during the day). Or maybe you moved the antenna and you can't receive them any more. So, try again in the afternoon or try to point the antenna to another point.

Make sure you use the correct scanning mode: "antenna" for of-the-air or "cable" for cable
