Go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com

It is the official free site for credit reports from all three companies and is safe. For an additional charge they will give you your credit score. It is much cheaper than ordering a credit score alone.

Bad credit is one of the worst problems to have... however there exists a solution.

I will hereby talk from my personal experience.

I did debt consolidation a couple of years ago, however If I had to do it again I would pay to some minor details,
if someone wants to get out of debt today it is pretty easy with a debt consolidation plan, however it may get a bit tricky at times, I suggest you get as much information as possible online on this first,

a good place to start in my humble opinion is astraight to the point ebook with question and answer I found :

http://umgarticles.atspace.com/debt-consolidation.htm

if it helps kindly remember me in your voting!.. cheers!

None of them are free. They have a free introductory offers, but they require that you sign up for one of their other programs. Usually one of the minimum cost programs will suffice and you can cancel them at your discretion. Using a reputable one that checks all 3 credit reporting agencies you can look to see if you're credit history info is accurate or if anyone is using your social security number to obtain credit.

As long as your sure the site uses encrytption codes etc.. and see the little lock at the bottom of the page, can't be any worse than someone digging in your trash. Just be smart and careful and usually those sites require a sign up, one time fee etc.. just read the fine print first.

Is it safe??? Not unless you are very careful selecting the web site There are many Phishermen out there, wanting to get hold of you personal info and finances, credit card numbers, etc.

The one that says free credit report online should be safe. My mother in law got hers online and didn't have a prolbem so I see nothing wrong with it just be careful. It's not free it cost her something.

You can call Transunion, Experian, or Equifax and have a hardcopy mailed to you... it will just take a little longer.
