Why take chances.

Do what I did ... buy a second hard drive (real affordable) & keep both operating systems on your PC via a BIOS controlled boot option.
(email me if you want detailed instructions on how to do this)

This way you get to use Vista & install software for it on your own timetable ...without losing access to your old OS or its software.

Well you can get other programs for free if those don't work with Vista, but I doubt Nero will have much of a problem. They're probably updating their software right now.

And, since one of the things Microsoft spent all their endless hours working on, was to make sure that Vista would be able to run old programs. So you probably won't have anything to worry about.

Agreed. I've learned my lesson with Windows 95 that you never upgrade until at least a year after they have released a new OS. There have already been numerous, serious bugs reported with Vista. If you are wise, you will wait before upgrading.

Maybe you should wait to upgrade to Vista until other companies have a chance to develop upgrades that will work with Vista.
