You mean the Form W4 with your employers, right?

If you are married and both work, the one with the higer income should generally file Married - 1 and the other Married - 0 or 1.

Ideally you should both complete the worksheets on page 2 of the Form W4 to figure out your exemptions for withholding purposes properly.

You mean the W4. The W2 is your statement of earnings at the end of the year. The IRS has a calculator that can help you determine how to fill out the forms.
