Parboiled has alredy been boiled and redried!

It's sorta pre-cooked. The grains wind up being more separate than regular rice. And oddly enough, parboiled rice takes longer to cook, about 5 min. more.

The difference is the rice was partly boiled before it was sold in the market and it is not as good as fresh rice.

Yes, that is called Minute Rice (brand)...

It cooks faster because the factory has already boiled it, then dried it again.

It is terrible.

it is half way cooked so it's faster for the consumer to cook. like success rice
