A human being is as much a part of the environment as any tree or blade of grass and the fact is the environment will always rebound from what ever we do to it. All the things that humans do to their (yes that's right it is ours too) environment we do to make it a better place for us to live or to benefit our race in some way or another if we ever stop utilizing our natural resources we will all suffer the consequences and most likely perish as a result.
