when using tax software can you let someone else use it?

Yes, my boyfriend buys his Turbotax every year, and has been doing both his return and mine with it for the past three years. You can only e-file 1 return, but you can make/print as many returns for other people as you want, they just have to be mailed-in by snail-mail.

On the same computer, more than one person can use the software. I'm sure the licensing will tell you that you are not allowed to put it on multiple machines, though.

But I would make sure I trusted the person to have access to my personal information.
