I want to purchase a Digital camera of 6 MP atleast within a budget of Rs. 10,000/-?

which brand I should go for a digicam of 6 MP and 3x Optical zoom or any better. My budget is Rs. 10,000 to 11,000 and almost every brand is available in the above range. experience of yours will help me of purchase the right brand. Thanks.

6 MP is difficult. You should be able to get a Canon A530/540 which is 5 MP for around that price. 3x optical zoom.
