how do i say "forgive me" in spanish?

Different ways depending on what are you asking forgiveness for.
If it is something serious: perdóname/perdóneme
Something light: discúlpame/discúlpeme
If you bump someone on the street, for example, a "discúlpeme" will be enough.
If you cheated on your wife or husband (and have been discovered) you'll need a "Perdóname, por favor" a (and a lot of other things too... :-))

Its not like everyone had gone to hell before the arrival of Jesus!! Obviously the prophets and even common men who followed the Lord did go to heaven. But the majority was indulged into a sinful life. That's why God sent Jesus into this world to show the world the real meaning of Love , sacrifice and obedience.
