hi,
looking at it as a parent and a female myself. i think that parents are much more protective of there daughters because she could get hurt. and are not able to protect them selves as easily as we would hope so they worry more about them, and in turn will seem to be a little unfair when it comes down to things like curfews and who they can date. a parent had to be careful with that.its really done out of love and the need to protect you.

A girl can have the same amount of freedomas a boy can. Your are probably still in high school. I didn't have much freedom growing up becasue of my parents. They were very strict and old fashion. I'm 22 now so they aren't so bad anymore. Give it time, your turn will come. Your parents are over pertected because they love you. They are looking out for your best interests.

Freedom to do what? Be aware that with freedom comes responsibility - sometimes a LOT of responsibility. It's like this: you break it, you've bought it. The heck with "fair" - There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch! Deal with it!

it is becoming more socially acceptable for girls to be like boys, but it will never be the same. Men and women have different roles to play in society, and there will always be a natural seperation. Girls can have that freedom, but there is a heavy price to pay with her reputation. Is it worth that ? You have to ask yourself that question.

You're right. It's not fair. Life is not fair. No one ever said it would be. It is a double standard, but you're going to have to live with it because it's not about to change.

Sadly, the world is a little bit more dangerous for girls than it is for boys.

Have to say with a gal they have to live with their mistakes more then a boy does he can go on with life as if nothing has happened.. hate to say it but its true. if your talking about dating and sex . you get PREGO he can drop you like a hot potato and he doesn't have to do a thing, your stuck with all the choices. If your talking about rules and getting to do things well if your a teen YOU have to earn the trust of your family and for the boy IT should be the same way. trust must be earned because a boy can get into, if not more trouble then a gal... good luck take care...

Girls do have the same freedom as boys. You do not state where this applies - possibly in your home? That would be your parents decisions. But in the world - Girls have the same opportunities as boys.

this sounds old fashioned but it still holds true, girls need more protection in this world, millions of males out here see you as an easy target, you have no idea how their minds work. thousands and thousands of young girls go missing each year--but not many young guys. guys can fight off an attacker much easier than you ever could. don't believe the 'martial arts' hype-lol
so stay safe, and live long.

because in a nuts shell, we are the ones who get pregnant...really that is what it is...rarely would a young guy step up to the plate if his girls gets pregnant and parents know this so they keep tighter reins on you...not fair...I agree...but life is not fair and it never will be...sorry.

Freedom of what?
Freedom to do something?
Freedom to say something?

I'm not clear as to what freedom you are refering to.
