When the OT that is part of their Bible states (taken from Genesis):
6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also [is] flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men which [were] of old, men of renown.
- Note the use of the term "sons" of God, meaning more than one. It quite clearly states that God obviously has more than one son, obviously taking human wives.
- Also it falls along the very similar lines of many other ancient religions, which we now deem as myths (ie: Greek myths, etc).

dze: If it all in the translation, then you obviously can not trust any part of the Bible. Or are you that type of Christian who only takes the parts that benefit your beliefs and ignore the rest? Did God not write your Bible? If so, then how can it be flawed? How is it that Christians take the OT word for word to discriminate against homosexuals, but everything else that brings questions about your beliefs are just translation errors? Give me a break, you either believe it or not, because all the Bible translated from Hebrew.

The Bible took it's stories from ancient Egyptian myths, changed the names and events a little, then, eventually, these "new" myths were compiled into a book....ta da.....The Holy Bible!

It's all myth and stories. If you want to believe in a book, read Stephen King's "Dark Tower/Gunslinger" Series, or the Lord of the Ring's Trilogy. Anyone could easily make religions out of these two works of "mythology."

The bible was written by man therefore is a tangled web of lies and contradictions and blatent plagerism. we only class other relligons as myths because the church released propaganda about devil worshiping thus killing of harmless pagans and other literature destroying and forbidding other relligons as mere myths and devils lies.
The Council of Nicea in 325 created christianity as we know it today and even decided what they would put in the bible they even chose that Jesus would no longer be seen as a normal man with gifts but as something more than that. Constantine the emporer a devote pagan was forced on his death bed to sign papers that his kingdom would go to the new relligon christianity and with that the first christians set out a long history of wiping out any other relligon by any means possible.
Therefore all of use technically would be gods sons and daughters however that is if you believe the tales of men or the evidence of the past.

In all reality we can't, remember it is man that put Christ on the throne not God, and if God had many sons and daughters that would mean he was a physical being, because he said (WE) will make man in our image, that tells me our creators are alive and well out there some where, I think it all comes down to, is God an astronaut from another world, it surly holds more water than the bible dose, people seem to want to believe in something they can't see, rather than something that vary well may be a physical creator that is alive today, impossible you say just think about it.

Only begotten son of God......Jesus’ being called the “only-begotten Son” (Joh 1:14; 3:16, 18; 1Jo 4:9) does not mean that the other spirit creatures produced were not God’s sons, for they are called sons as well. (Ge 6:2, 4; Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:4-7) However, by virtue of his being the sole direct creation of his Father, the firstborn Son was unique, different from all others of God’s sons, all of whom were created or begotten by Jehovah through that firstborn Son. So “the Word” was Jehovah’s “only-begotten Son” in a particular sense, even as Isaac was Abraham’s “only-begotten son” in a particular sense (his father already having another son but not by his wife Sarah).—Heb 11:17; Ge 16:15.

Christians do not state that Jesus is the only son of God. All created beings are sons and daughters of God...the angels who fell, in your example, were also created beings, called sons of God. Even Satan is a "son of God".
Jesus is the only BEGOTTEN Son of God...Begotten, not created...HUGE difference.

EDIT: Ahh, I see that others have also explained this to you. I like your question about the other ancient religions, such as the Greek myths...shows you're thinking. Note the similarities...possible that, at one time, there really WAS only the ONE religion, but that, as time passed and people drifted apart...that ONE TRUE RELIGION began to get a bit...garbled? Could that be why there had to be "Chosen People"...not that there was anything special about the people, themselves, but about the message and the mission they were entrusted with? Could it be...in short...that God is real, and that He really did visit His creation, in the form of a Man??
Something to think about, maybe....

The use of "Son" here is specific, to point out a relationship in anthropomorphic terms that we can grasp. Since Jesus has a human nature and is the son of Mary, it is doubly useful to help explain His generation (from His origin as God in the Second Person). This is deep stuff and has been well reasoned and explained by geniuses the likes of Saint Thomas Aquinas (13th cnetury!) If you're up to it, check out his Summa Theologica on the web. Put on your student hat. It's a tough ride.

So if I understand the Christians right, the other sons of god were either created (in the case of the Genesis sons) or adopted (in the case of David or others who were referred to as the son of god). Jesus was begotten which means that god had sex with Mary.

All who have accepted Jesus Christ into their Hearts as Lord and Savior are son's of God. Jesus Christ is the "Only Begotten" Son of God. However, even the bible calls us the children of God, or God's children. All people who were created are not children (son/daughters) of God, their just God's creation. But God made it possible for us to have a relationship with Him, and the only way to the Father is through His Son, Jesus Christ. Through faith in Jesus Christ we have been grafted into God's family.

They also seem to miss the fact that David and Solomon (both Messiahs) prefigured (a form of prophecy in Judaism) The Messiah. Both David and Solomon were called 'Son of God', but Christians do not consider them divine. Hm...

We're all sons (children) of God, in a natural sense, but Jesus is the only one who was BEGOTTEN ... not created ... by God, and of the same eternal, uncreated essence as God, hence, also God.

An English translation From the GREEK new testament writings:

Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us (and we saw his glory, the glory as it were
*********
of the only begotten of the Father),
*********
full of grace and truth.
Joh 1:15 John beareth witness of him and crieth out, saying: This was he of whom I spoke: He that shall come after me is preferred before me: because he was before me.
Joh 1:16 And of his fulness we all have received: and grace for grace.
Joh 1:17 For the law was given by Moses: grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
Joh 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time:
*****
the only begotten Son
*****
who is in the Bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
