I have a date Friday and I don't want to screw this up, HELP!?

I have had some bad luck in the past with guys. I clam up when I get around them. I think maybe I am afraid of doing or saying something stupid. I really like this guy and I don't want to screw this up. What can I do to prevent shuting down?

I had this problem and its wierd because before the date you had no problem talking to that person at all. Then you get on the date and you seem to freeze up.

I think its because you feel some pressure to perform better than you have when talking to them prior to the date. This not fair though because that person you're going on a date with liked you before for being yourself so try just being yourself. Don't feel pressured into being anything else.

Talk about what you want to talk about and do what you want to do. If he doesnt like you for being yourself then he's not worth the trouble in my opinion. I hope you enjoy yourself because that's what the date is for, to have fun and get to know someone.

Odd's are he's having his own jitters too, so with you being natural it will encourage him to do the same. It always does me when my date is being herself.

First off you have to be you...if not, when you do become relaxed with him he will know who the real person is. You don't want him to think you're something you're not. Guys like the inner beauty showing through...well the real men do. Before you go, think of somethings you can talk about if it goes quiet. Talk about movies, life, or school. Pick a topic that is easy for you to discuss with him and then go with it. Don't over power him, let him have equal time to talk. Talking too much can ruin the night just as much as shutting down. Just be yourself. Don't worry about what he thinks of you. He may think that your a freak but thats his decision. saying something stupid. You guys will probably just be talking about your life. Just pretend that you've known him as long as you can remember. Don't try to look so serious about it all. Just be sorta layed back. And if you do make a mistake he probably won't even notice it.
