Yes Muslim confess, but not a preacher or a monk, Just Directly to GOD through the daily prayers.
in the 5 times you pray per day, in each time, you confess your sins "if any" , ask forgiveness and promise not to do it again.
Oral , as God is your witness, and God sees your every move.
But in case, you needed counselling, you can go to your nearst Imam " head of a mosque" and ask for answer to a problem or guidance to rightful ways.
Thank you and God bless

Hi ! I have an answer to your question !
Muslims confess to God only. The confession is done by a sort of prayer where Muslims reveal about all their sins, and ask for forgiveness. Besides, there's no other confession Muslims do.
Contact me If u need more specefic information about the subject.
Take care !

muslim ' s confession doesn ' t look like christian ' s confession . it ' s something between a man and his god .
muslim doesn ' t need a chair to sit down in front of a priest and says his confession , there ' s no border between allah and a man , any man not only muslims , he just asks allah the almighty the merciful to forgive him and accept him among good people .
but if a muslim needs to tell anybody (sheikh , friend , brother ...etc ) about his sin , he can do it .
of course , the best confession is between the hands of god during a prayer specially in "the sojood" as his face is on the ground , it ' s enough for him to proove that he is god ' s slave and ask for his forgiveness .

Muslims do confess their sins, directly to God. This is called "Tawbah" which literally means "turning back [towards God]." One of God's names in the Quran is Al-Tawwab, which means The Acceptor of Repentance.

It's very important in Islam to undergo some sort of repentance, as God will not forgive what you are not sorry for. Basically, you try to feel sorry in your heart, and you should try to make amends for what was done and resolve not to repeat the sin. In addition, it's recommended to pray an additional prayer to help expiate the sin.

I'm not sure I'd use the word confess, but we do ask for forgivness. We ask God for forgivness but we do not have to state what we want forgivness for, coz God already knows.

While praying to Allah (Dua), muslims confess their bad deeds, promise not to repeat such deeds and seek forgiveness from Allah.
