what book of the Bible,and verse,does it say ghosts are not real?

i know its in the old testament and it says something along the line that when we are dead there is no consiousness whatsoever,something something something...

I've never read that but Jesus mentioned Ghosts when he returned to some of the apostles after his Crucifixion by walking across the water to the boat they were in. This however does not suggest or discredit the existence of ghosts but personally though I agree with Christian93 that humans do not wander the earth as ghosts. Anything "Ghostly" I have ever encountered was definitely evil and not some poor misplaced spirit.

if you mean dead people then the bible states clearly that "the dead are conscious of nothing at all"

Ecclesiastes 9:5,6

the "ghosts" that are seen are Satan's demons, fallen angels that seek to deceive us by making us think that the dead roam the earth.

We all have a spirit.

There are many more demons than people on this earth.

When we die, we do not have the choice to roam the earth (it's either Heaven or Hell).

Therefore, there are no dead humans roaming the earth.

However, demons and Satan do roam the earth.
