As the Bible and Jesus shows , there are demonized people , and there are not mental deseases. Also in the life of a saint for e.g. it is shown that satan tempted a moral man , with what today could be called a mental trouble.Actually Jung annd Freud didn't belive God existed and satan existed , so he took advantage of Darwin and made a pseudoscience which became an idolatry...Instead of recognizing their sins , or admitting they are tempted by satan even Christians preffer to be considered as having mental diseases. Don't they think God shall punish them , for this silence?

I believe that mental illness comes from Satan, but I also believe that if we are strong in Christ, we can overcome this illness.

Satan can cause many illnesses--both physical and mental. He cannot however take over our spirit, as Christ dwells within us.

If God allows a Christian to become mentally ill for a time, there is a reason, which is for our good and His Glory.

Did you really just say "there are not mental deseases
(sic)"?

That may be the most ignorant statement that I have ever seen on Yahoo Answers.

May I be the first to welcome you into the 21st Century.

It is widely accepted, even by theologians that what was consider demon-possession in Biblical times was almost certainly mental and physical diseases, They people of that time simply had no other way to explain things like Tourette's Syndrome, Mental Retardation, Epilepsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebral Palsy, and other conditions which are much better understood today

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Don't give the devil more than his due. A lot of times people do things to themselves without the help of satan; tis their weak nature that causes them to make bad choices.

If, as you say, there is no such thing as mental illness, then I challenge you to go to the nearest mental illness facility, stand in the front yard and scream "Get thee behind me satan" and cure all of those poor people being demonized.

Yeah, just as I thought, it wouldn't work. Why? Because mental illness is a real thing, and God gives those people special grace.

I think you need to go back to square one if you're trying to make mental illness and evil the same thing. There are many evil people out there who don't suffer from any mental health issues, and plenty of good people who do. Satan didn't tempt a saint with mental illness, I believe he used greed to tempt. Be kinda stupid to try to tempt someone with mental illness, don't you think?

Some people do actually have mental illness which is not their fault, whilst others are physically posessed by the forces of Satan. Not all mental illness is caused by being posessed by the devil.

Please take note of who God will bring vengeance upon.

2 Thessalonians 1:6-10........This takes into account that it is righteous on God’s part to repay tribulation to those who make tribulation for YOU,  but, to YOU who suffer tribulation, relief along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels  in a flaming fire, as he brings vengeance upon those who do not know God and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus.  These very ones will undergo the judicial punishment of everlasting destruction from before the Lord and from the glory of his strength,  at the time he comes to be glorified in connection with his holy ones and to be regarded in that day with wonder in connection with all those who exercised faith, because the witness we gave met with faith among YOU.

Did you notice.........it was not the good or the bad but those who do not know God and do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus.

Perhaps trying to blame our sin on some outside influence, or on some mental deficiency is the greatest sin of all.....

Christians, like others, are also faced with contrasts when they refer to what is written in the bible and what happens in their day to day life!

Have you ever thought about using spell check?

Also, a quick primer in writing skills wouldn't be the worst thing for you either.
