""I'm proud to be the first African-American coach to win this," Dungy said during the trophy ceremony. "But again, more than anything, Lovie Smith and I are not only African-American but also Christian coaches, showing you can do it the Lord's way. We're more proud of that." " - Yahoo Sports Coverage

No, but people are blessed by God. What coach Dungy was trying to help everyone see is that no matter if they won or lost, they still did it Christ's way. His actions and words will help a lot of people to come to Christ. To God be the glory!

Would be interesting only if a team that wasn't even in the superbowl prayed to win, won it then thanked god for his help. That would be worth seeing. I can just hear the commentator "I have no idea how this happened, but the Cleveland Browns have won the superbowl without so much as even stepping foot on the field."

People who make comments like that coach annoy me.

Having some fun Lefty, lol. I know you are. Yes, it appears that God cares about football too. Maybe we will learn some more about what both coach's feel about doing football the "Lord's way".

It's great to know that God can be part of something "fun" sometimes too...we get so bogged down in details at times, lololol.

Yes. As Christians, God is concerned about all aspects of our lives. God knows that we need entertainment and some find that in sports. Therefore, God can bless the Superbowl.

It's good to see at least two people in the world of sports who aren't common law marriage loving drug using pigs.

Tony Dungy is a warrior for Christ. I love that man.

I do think God would be interested in a Superbowl game or he is betting on who is gonna win. at least I hope not because that would be a major conflict of interest :)

It's God that gives people the talents we have and we use them it's a great thing but it doesn't necessarily mean we'll always win. Whether we win or lose God loves us with an everlasting love.

If the coaches asked God to bless it then I am sure it was.

Well, I think its real nice that that gave credit to God, but I fail to see why the superbowl would be of any importance to God. The people who play in it, yes, the outcome of the game? Don't see it.
