i have this friend who keeps on telling me how much he loves me.. And I certainly feel that.. I also am happy when I am with him but I still want my ex back.. I know that I'm being very unfair to my friend but everytime I see my ex I seem to go back to my old ways -- loving him without any limitations.. But I have been hurt by him so many times before.. However, I think he's my true love.. What would I choose? Love or Happiness?..

oh my... this is quite tough.. hmmm... i guess you should try to move on... you have to follow what's in your heart... if you are into your friend.. that's great.. but if you still like the other... well.. maybe you can't really get over him.. you should follow your heart.. the one that your heart tells you.. is the one you should do.. it will lead you to happiness...

Yow... first of all, in my opinion, you should not do anything with anyone. Re-read what you wrote. You KNOW your ex is bad for you. I too know how difficult it is to get over someone, but believe me -- you WILL if you TRY. You must respect yourself enough to get away from a harmful relationship.
THEN... you might want to consider a relationship with your other friend. I think you ought to tell that friend truthfully what's happening with you, though... that you have feelings for someone else that you need to work through before committing to someone else. Good luck.
PS - I don't think your "true love" will be someone that hurts you.

Well, when you have love, you should be really happy... if you're ex hurt you a lot, he's not anything close to true love... go with the friend.

You'll regret if you go back to your old ways. Love means NOTHING, if the other one doesn't love you back. Stay with the one that makes you happy, and let go of the one who will continue to hurt you and others, don't be involved in that, you're smarter!

girl you will eventually get over your ex......he don't deserve you if he treated you like that and you don't need a man like that....sweetie you are a woman and need to be treated like a woman....maybe the friend you have is not really the one so you have to be patience and the right one will come along and when they do you will realize how much of a jerk your ex was and i will choose happiness life is too short.

with true love comes happiness. if your ex hurt you that much he doesnt love you and why do you want that? you will eventually get over your ex and hopefully learn to love someone else again.
