It has just developed a green screen (before the channels are selected) & it bleeds through to the main picture, giving the effect of green wavey water. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Hi, If its all green there there is some soirt out interference, ie speaker, power source, surges etc.

Best to check these before you ask for an enginner to come round to confirm fault ~( if the company you brought from has this service ).

After checking these out, phone the manufacture, as there may have had a problem with this before and point you in the right direction.

If you still have no joy, then return it to the shop.

Most shops will test for the fault, as there don't went to have a refund against figures, so please check / do the above first. Then you can if needed be prepared to tell the shop what you have done.

good luck

Hi. In my experience, this usually happens when the screen is too close to a magnetic field. Speakers or surround sound equiptment are usually the biggest culprits. Try moving anything containing magnets away from the screen and give it a few days. It should correct itself!

Sounds busted. If its new (under a year or two) take it back to the shop. If not, buy a new one or try to get it repaired via the manufacturers selected local repairer.
