You must burn more calories than you consume. Period. That's the bottom line of all those weight-loss books and programs. Magic pills and formulas do not work.

Get out and exercise. Do 30 minutes of cardio at least three times a week (run/walk/bike).

Get 6 to 8 hours of sleep every night (turn off the TV and the computer).

Don't consume alcohol--alcohol is nothing more than empty calories with no nutritional value.

Cut back on the foods you eat with high fat and high sugar content. Try to eat only single servings (read the label) with less than 3g saturated fat and 3g sugars.

Eat breakfast, and eat five small meals per day instead of three big meals.

If you don't wake up starving, then you ate too much the day before.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Try the Flat Stomach ASAP diet which is a book written by Elllington Darden. You can buy the book on Amazon. It is a low calorie diet in which you drink a lot of water and do some weight training. It is pretty simple and you can lose up to an average of 3 pounds a week on it.

add some stuff to your diet, like fruits, vegetables, fiber
add some excercise you think is fun, or at least tolerable, like walking, swimming, every day
just read an article on cinnamon..

as a nutritionist i recommend you use an all natural weight loss supplement. dont buy from the grocery store, if you want the best then go to a company that specialises only in this tyoe of product. eat plenty of fruit and veg, if you cant then get a supplement so your body gets all the nutrients it needs.
