Any brand name chocolate is good. I stay away from dollar store brands (Palmer). If I want GOOD chocolate, I go to the local candy store, where they make their own. It's the BEST around here, and beats out Nestle and Hersheys by a landslide. But the price reflects that, too...

If you have tasted Godiva's chocolates, the Hershey and other brands are grainy and sugary, there is no comparison, Godiva is a better grade in chocolate and therefore also higher in price. There are other good chocolate products and are mostly imported. It would be great if the home made chocolatiers would improve their products.

both of those are crap chocolate! trader joes sells good Belgium chocolate and if you want to splurge Godiva is nice chocolate. but if i had to pick between the chocolates i would say nestle, Hershey's is to sweet.

Callebaut is the best chocolate if you are cooking with it, or making something out of it. It is from Belgium and is expensive.

I really like Nestle's semisweet chocolate chips for most recipes.

If you want chocolates...like candy with filling, I would recommend Esther Price out of Ohio, or See's candy from California.

Both the brands you mention are good. I really like Gheradelli too (not sure if that's the correct spelling)
