Always look at both sides before judgement. i believe your parents would be hurt if you move out.

Perhaps you should tell your parents about how you would like to take control of your lives, eg. cleaning up your own mess at home, telling your parents your objective of doing certain except for the sake of fun and peer pressure.

If this is a good news to your parents, you'll need to remind them of the promise you made with them.

If this is a bad news to your parents, it's time to show independance by showing results and capability to them.

It depends on the situation like financial situations or if they just treat you like a kid because you live with them. A parent has a right to construct their household in any sort of way especially depending on where you are, as their child, in life. If you have a job & financial freedom, don't have to pay them rent or pitch in for household materials, etc. then you should move out and don't have to take that. If you don't have this then save up to leave the household but until you get financial freedom, do as they say and respect them enough to deal with it.

well first i would ask myself, am i helping in some way, contributing to the home? If the answer is no, then i would simply think about my future and start being a little more responsible with my own life, and start by helping around the house, and appreciating what i've got, and eventually work my way into moving out. It is time!...

Believe it or not you are just a child! Once you get your education and/or a job and you are on your own you will be entitled to free yourself of your parents, but as long as you live with them you should respect them and their opinions as long as they have your best interest in mind.

Move out. The sooner you do so, the better adjusted you will become to living as an adult.

if you're 21 leaving at home, contribute nothing towards household....cleaning, cooking, run errands, help with bills, then what do you expect?....pull your weight buddy and maybe you'll be seen as an adult..
