I had the same problem and my doctor told me it was because I was overly tired. I have noticed that when I don't get enough rest that I do twitch... Try getting more rest and see what happens. :)

it is a normal reaction to twitch. your body is trying to settle down and when you are starting to begin the first stage of sleep you body may twitch from trying to fight it. Dont worry it's normal! NOw if you twitch a bunch of times it might be a question to ask a doctor.

when you dream, your body typically turns off the connection between your mind and your muscles that way you dont get in your car and drive around, and do whatever it is that your dreaming about. when you shift between different phases of your sleep (for example, in and out of REM) sometimes your mind will manage to get a muscle command down to your body, which will cause you to twitch or jolt. this is perfectly normal, and you probably do it a lot more than you think.

Sure it's normal, things your dreaming about make critters and people twitch all the time. You're sane.

your problem is common. i and my girl fiends errr i mean mate would have twitches...its normal as we are both nurse aides and we know this happens to our patients and even babies all the time. now if its violent then its a symptom of epileptic seizure or a grand mall seizure,..but you sound ok....lol...but what are you dreams like? jk...lol

She's dreaming about whatever it is dogs do in dreams. I've had a lot of dogs over the years and sometimes a hunter will " go on a chase" in its sleep.

My husband does this very much. He tells me it because his body hurts at night.
