What does that limit? How frequently we hang out? Cause we hang out probably 4 nights a week and I practically live at his house on the weekends. We are intimate, we've known eachother for almost 5 years, seeing each other on & off for 4 of those, we're taking a week long vacation together next month, and last night we officially became a monogomous/ exculsive couple.

But what limitiations does SLOW describe? Because from what signs I'm seeing, I'm confused!!!??!?!?!

It means he's legit and want to make a serious effort...Saturating him with your presence(no offense) can kill a relationship sometimes. Be patient and let him be independent as you would like. No need to be at his side 24/7. Don't worry, dear. All's in the clear.

This means you are going too fast. He doesn't feel in control of his 50% of the relationship lately. He wants a balanced life. He loves you but he wants other things in his life also, which is only normal. Don't be insulted, he has every right in the world to manage his life at a pace he feels comfortable with--you are perhaps around too much? He 's starting to feel hemmed in. This is usually the first tell tale sign, so sister slow down. Have other interest besides him in your life --be secure, if you push too hard; he may go. Don't feel threatened by his honesty, honesty is a beautful thing. He said he still 'wants affection' to make you know he still finds you attractive and still loves you, so your feelings won't be hurt. sounds like a good guy. btw--start to save your body now for marraige some day, don't be too intimate any longer. This sounds old fashioned but; it's the right thing to do.

Hmmm. 5 years. Seems kinda S-L-O-W already, huh? Communication's the name of the game, girl. Ask Dewd what he means EXACTLY by slow. A little clarity's a beautiful thing. Hard to make a desicion when confused. Plus: it's been my experience that people have an innate sense that makes them wonder 'wassup?' when something's not on the up and up...

When a guy says he wasnts to take it slow, it usually means he wants to have sex, and don't you even think about mariage or moveing in or even a drawer in his dresser. He wants his cake and wants to eat it too. Guys are confusing, the best book I have ever read that comes close to describing men and women is Men are from Marz women are from Venus. men are odd little creatures. I would get out of the relationship, before its too late, you have already spent 5 years of your life waiting. how many more do you want to spend wasting it on him? good luck girl.

He's playing you! He wants all the benefits without a long term commitment such as engagement or marriage, and it sounds like you already have plenty of experience with pre-marital relations and the sex is as far as he's willing to go.

He just wants to take things a little more slow. Pressuring him isn't going to get you anywhere. Just take it day by day, don't risk a big jump in your relationship. Good Luck!!!

I think he is referring to taking your relationship to the next level of commitment. I wouldn't expect an engagement ring anytime soon.

you should ask him what exactly SLOW means...at first i thought that maybe you meant that you all were not going to be having sex until both of you were ready...or that you all were not going to rush into a committed relationship...but if you are already doing both, then you need to ask him what the deal is

It means he wants to have sex with you but keep his options open in case someone better comes along. I would move on and find someone more committed to you.

It limits you asking him for more intimacy and/or marriage this way he gets "some" and doesnt need to give much of himself.
