I'm a Uni Student, savings whipped out cos cheated in car scam. Paying off car loan and maintenance using credit [obtained before entering uni] and wife's salary. Staying in her home with parents-in-law for food and pocket $$. Also not to ask $$ from own parents. Now my own younger Brother (working and just got bonus, staying with parents) asking $$ to contribute for family's CNY w/o any words of concerns of my plight. Elder brother working overseas. Although have not contributed to family but didn't take $$ including school fees from family either since NS. What should i do?

bad decision as in car scam? Well, i wanted to buy a car so that i could travel from my wife's home to my parent's home more often. It's definitely not for my own comfort.

I've learnt my lessons through my wife, living wth S$2/day for breakfast and lunch.

I tried getting tuition jobs, but my wife wanted me to concentrate on studies. BTW, she's a diploma holder only.

Your only reaction should be that you walk with your head held high, because you aren't asking anyone for money. Keep doing your best to pay your loans and improve your education so you too can have good money coming in. Just because your brothers get bonuses and have good jobs that you admire, doesn't mean they necessarily know how to budget their income. They could be living well beyond their means and owe more than they make! Learn from others mistakes, you know what it looks like from the outside, learn to budget well and you will never again have to rely on someone else to make ends meet. You can know that you accomplished this on your own, without their help. You CAN do it! Don't give up! Good Luck!=)

I'd say, it will all turn out alright, as long as you keep motivated toward that goal... aside from your job, and school, is their any talent you have, that you do well.. that you might want to do something on the side for extra income. Perhaps, work from home? It is always nice to find out of other extra ways to make extra money that we all need... I know your schedule is busy, that is why i said, something from home that you can do.. or your wife.

Whatever happens, just know in your heart that everything will be alright. You're going to be successful one day, thanks to your education, and it will be all worth it! Your a strong person, and you have the will to move ahead.. so stay focused!

You have created your poor situation by bad decision making so therefore you have created your own just rewards. See your situation through and try to choose better next time. It is your place to find your own way through life. Be thankful someone like your wife and her parents are letting you go along for the ride. It could be really hard on you otherwise.
