why cant men cook?

Two confirmed bachelors sat talking. Their conversation drifted
from politics to cooking. "I got a cookbook once," said the first,
"but I could never do anything with it."

"Too much fancy cooking in it, eh?" asked the second.

"You said it. Every one of the recipes began the same way -
'Take a clean dish and....'"

Since you put this in jokes and riddles . . . In my family, the best cooks were my father's mother and my mother's father. Nana was a farm wife who had raised five kids and fed innumerable farm hands over the years. Pop-pop was a professional chef who had cooked since he was a tiny child, learning from his father.

I figure men can cook fine when they are paid for it, but women cook from their hearts.

Guess who did the dishes? (Hey, don't knock it; I rather like soapy water on my hands to this day, remembering how good I ate!)
