Or is it a black people only religion ?

(I don't mean white people who grow dreads and smoke weed and put on a Jamaican accent.)

I mean a real proper Rastafarian.

I think so - I believe it's a religion - so yes why not. Type the words - rastafarian religion - into your address bar and you will pull up a few sites on the subject.

I work with a white guy who is a real rastafarian. As far as I know, he doesn't get high, and I know he doesn't have dreads!

I wouldn't think so....Read up on the beliefs and you'll see what I mean. It's based on a man called "Jah" who is the same as Jesus, but black. I'm not educated enough to tell you weather it's against whites, but more along the lines of.......Whites don't really belong in it. So when you see a White Rasta man....He's prob just a pot head pretending to be deep and spiritual like and thinks the "look" reflects his character. So to be honest, the answer is no.

Yes. It is about the worship of the former Emperor of Ethiopia, Halie Salase. The dreadlocks and the ganga are optional.
