depends what your into. There is the obvious "Ebay" where you can buy and sell stuff, there's MySpace.com which is a huge site for people to network (Make friends) all over the world, listen to unsigned music and watch video footage etc... and the best thing is that it's free.

I like this one, http://www.askville.com (Which is a lot like this one put out by Amazon actually it's better then yahoo answers where you get points for every question you up up and answer and you can ask as many questions as you want and not have to worry about loseing any points really you should check it out.) Myspace.com is good for finding friends.
