Of course have a thesaurus and dictionary ready. Find a good word processor (one that has spelling and grammar check). Read aloud what you've written. If your ideas flow smoothly, then you're in the right track (developing an outline of what you have to write will not harm as well). Reading on a variety of subjects will enhance your knowledge. Widen your vocabulary as well.

Listening by regularly watching English programmes. Get also an interactive speech lesson. Trains your ears. Trains you to speak as well. Pay attention to intonation, diction and pronounciation.

Keep speaking, writing and listening to the language. It's the best way. Also learn to use a good dictionary for proper definitions and pronounciation of words. Spelling is NOT as important and will improve with reading..

1st of all, u can't "better" ur English... u can only "improve" it. lol ;)
And u can do that by a lot of reading & listening. which lead automatically 2 oral improvements. Reading & Listening make u gain more vocab. & give u the "taste" of the language. When u do a lot of listening & reading u'll find urself talking fluently.

My best advice is just keep practicing. Use every possible opportunity you have to speak and and write English. Also don't worry to much about making mistakes they are just part of learning.

read more, listen more and speak more, I think that's the way to improve a language skill. there is no shortcut of learning a language, learn it step by step

listen to the News always and take note of how most words are pronouced. Read anything you find and look for its meaning if you dont understand
