Has anyone been to see a psychic, fortune teller or Tarot reader? If so were they very accurate or did you think it was a big con?

As a Spiritual Medium who is also psychic I can assure you that what information I receive from the spiritworld is accurate and I would NEVER con anybody. I agree with all Louise says. There are good and bad but what saddens me are those on here that just dismiss it as a con. I bring a lot of comfort and love to a lot of people and, no, not for monetary gain. And by the way CHRIS we do not tell fortunes and we are not allowed to use our gift for monetary gain. You would be the first to complain if all psychics won the lottery every week! It just doesn't work like that. My advise to anyone is to go to the Spiritualist Church or a Clairvoyant evening and if the Medium is good then book a private reading with them, alternatively go to one who has been recommended.

I have had my fortune told at a seaside resort, and ended up having a real grt chat to this woman. Although some of the things she foretold for me did come true, she also told me some of thier secrets too!. I have also had my tarot cards done, by professionals, by mediums and by my partner, who didn't know things that he now does. All have been proven exactly right. There are many cons out there, and, many times your body language is being watched. Make sure you don't change your expression, or fidget, watch how you sit, or the tone you speak, and may sound daft, but clear your mind or think of something totally irrelevant.Do not give anything away, then you will know if they are true or a con.

I have had a few allegedly psychic people give me readings or utilise other methods to tell me about myself eg at a Psychic Fair. What was said was good but I kinda felt a lot of it was deduced from the informal chat we had before the reading. Mediums, who are similar to psychics, often work within the confines of Spiritualist Churches - and, if you don't mind sitting through a variation of the Christian Service, will give "messages" for the congregation (ie no "fee" as such) - but it is "random" as to whether you receive a "message". Note that this "message" will be from the Spirit World - you may not fancy that!

I am a tarot reader, I cant speak for all but i am genuine, there are a lot of frauds out there, look up cold readings, these give us all a reall bad name.
As for the individual who answered you regarding a 1 million reward, he should really do his research on that. It has actually been proven and they did not have the $ to give.lol who s the scammer in this case.?
Psychics have been tested and tested again, if they were not true, police, military, and other government would not have them ontheir payroll!

Reading through these answers just show's how much ignorance there is in regards to psychics and what we do.

Psychic work has nothing to do with astrology.

"mediums who are simailar to psyhics". Mediums are psychics, but psychics who work with the spirit world to bring evidence of survival, and has nothing to do with "fortune telling".

Like with any field, there are some good, excellent, and some that shouldn't be doing it at all!

Tell me, how can a "con artist" go into such a deep state of trance and allow spirit to transfigure over their face. I seen a psychic mediums face completely change, and I was sitting no more than three feet away. My friend was sat in front of the medium holding his hands, and the mediums face changed to that of her late husband. Everyone in the room saw it happen.

That is just one of the many things I have witnessed psychics do.

I am a psychic and I also do rune readings. I am very accurate and our family doesn't make any major decisions without consulting the runes. I do readings for friends and family, and I never charge for it. It works if you know what you're doing and have spent time developing your natural psychic gifts (everyone has them). You might look into learning to do readings for yourself if you're concerned about someone conning you for money. There are tons of books on the subject.

There is a standing reqard of 1 million dollars to any psychic that can prove their abilities in lab conditions. Its been there for 20 years. No one has ever claimed it.

The prize was set up by the Amazing Randi, the famous magician and skeptic.

I guess they are happier to work in trailers for 10$ readings.

I went for fun, and I found she kept asking me leading questions, which I didn't answer. You could tell she was getting frustrated. In the end none of it was even close to being accurate. My friend left raving about her accuracy, yet I sat there and watch her GIVE the psychic information, and then watched as the psychic regurgitated it to her. Kind of makes you understand how organized religion works.

My personal opinion is that psychics are saying mostly statistically correct things such as: you will meet someone you admire this year. And I think people will always see someone they admire. People just don't pay attention till they were told.
