How is the statement "we're not perfect just forgiven" condescending???
It states that we as Christians know we are not perfect, that is admitting a fault within ourselves. Saying we are forgiven, is giving an example of Christ's love for us.
Now, judging other people is another matter, I have to agree with you on that.
But then again, Christians are not perfect. I don't use the praise above, I normally say that Christians are not perfect, but have the aces to the Sacraments to keep us in God's grace.
I am sorry that you hate Christians, even though none of us are perfect, not all of us are judgmental all the time.
Peace!

This statement *we're not perfect just forgiven* should not be belittling to you. It should help you see that we, as Christians, are not perfect and should comfort you to know that we sin too. We are forgiven because we have accepted Christ. It does not give us a license to sin.
When we say you are lost, we are speaking of your spirit being lost to worldly and satanic things. It doesn't mean that you can never be found.
God is there for all who seek Him. If you look for Him, you will find Him. His wonderful, glorious salvation is hidden from NO ONE.
He loves all of us and that is why He sent Jesus.
It is not we who should condemn you, but God should do this. If you are feeling that way, I think you are feeling convicted by the Holy Spirit. He is reaching out to you and trying to tell you that you need Him.

I see you are well versed on being a "christian". You know what my Father expects of me, better than I do. You seem to know what my Father expects of me, better than He does. How can someone outside the family tell the family how to live their lives? What is the difference between a "Christian" and a "False Christian"? The Bible tells me. I just repeat the Bible
If you have a problem with being called "lost", you have a problem with the Bible. I just repeat the Bible.
If you have a problem with me pointing out that I am not perfect, you have a problem with the Bible. I just repeat the Bible.
Your problems, on these issues, are not with me, but with my God. Talk to Him about them. Ask serious questions of Him, let Him defend Himself. It's not my job.

Spirituality says mind your own business and your own soul instead of finding faults at others.
So yes youre right.
The only explanation I can find is..its very easy for people in Christianity to look down at the rest of the world because they are taught that without Jesus people are lost.
Quite the contrary. The thing that saves you pain in this life and consequently in the next one is your own actions.

Western Christianity is riddled with the false religion warned about in The Bible. If you read the Gospels the established churches are dead ringers for the pharisees. Disagree? Well, did Jesus wear jewels and have His Disciples kneel to Him? Did He get involved in politics? Did He bless soldiers weapons? How people fail to see through it all beats me. The can't have studied THe Bible, that's for sure and what other source is more authoratitive?

I agree, Christians should never condemn others for a true Christian has been forgiven from much condemnation.
However, much of postmodern America has focused on feelings instead of fact. If the facts of Christianity are true, then those statements (given with the right motivation) are not judgmental, but are rather a pleading warning for those to repent in order to escape the wrath from God that is to come on those who are sinners (mankind) and have not repented. Those who believe that God is unnecessarily harsh in doing this - or that God won't do this because God is a "God of love" - do not understand how much God *HATES* sin and His goodness requires that He is just. If a judge let every criminal free because "he was loving," we would consider him a corrupt judge, not a good judge. Justice must be satisfied (and was in Christ, but the reaction to His sacrifice is repentance and trust/faith in Him).
If Christians only focus on making people feel good (and set aside truth), then they would be doing people a disservice by allowing them to feel good, but end up in Hell and face God's wrath. The *loving* thing for a Christian to do is to warn people of the impending judgment (just as you would warn a blind person about to walk off the edge of a cliff, you would plead with him to turn back because you know the danger ahead).
However, to your question's credit, a Christian should not warn others in a condescending tone - for a true Christian knows that he or she has been forgiven of much.

One guy stands out in my memory. I went over to my friends place and he was out on the back patio. It was like, 1 AM and I asked him to be more quiet because it was late and its an apartment community. He just started talking louder and said he didn't care. Then, he said "I hate how those ******* want to get married! THEY SHOULD ALL JUST DIE, I ******* HATE THEM! GOD SAID IT WAS A SIN ITS DISGUSTING I HOPE THEY ALL BURN IN HELL" That one really got me.How could you hate someone that much, just for what they do behind closed doors with someone else? I told him he was homophobic, and I asked him about his religion and questions that he could not answer. He got more and more angry, and started yelling louder and louder because I was very calm and cool, and I made very strong points that contradicted his beliefs. He freaked out on me, entirely, and after the amusement and sheer shock was gone, I told him he needed to come out of the rock he was living under. I really, really upset him though, like, he was just super angry, I think it was because I laughed at him, I thought he was joking at first and every time he said something terrible and not-Christian-like, I laughed, hard, agitating him more. Ooops. Now, as a Pagan, that's NOT a true Christian. I believe there are true Christians, there are just a bunch of idiot jerks who call themselves Christian and are terrified of eternal damnation, so they call themselves Christian, but don't act like one.

B/c they are not christians! A true christian is patient, understanding, and knows how to talk to you about the word of God b/c God has given them the words to utter to you. Those who judge & condemn others who are not following God are simply hiding behind a blanket of false truths. Meaning, they are still sinners, they are truly not living whole-heartedly & faithfully through the eyes of God.
Most people assume that just b/c they go to church & read the bible daily & follow certain rituals makes them christians & automatically believe they are saved. So when they run into people who mirror them (who are exactly as they are), they get ancy & want to "preach" to them to convince themselves they are better. I think it's one of those self-fulfilling prophecies type deals - "If I hear myself say it enough to everyone else, then I'll believe that I, too, shall be saved & what I'm doing & saying is of the utmost truth."
No, a true christian isn't here to judge others but to lovingly share in the word of God & make sure each person they run into knows of the good Lord & all He has done for us & continues to offer.

I have NEVER met a Christian who has displayed all the characteristics you mention. I totally agree with you re the first part of yr statement and am hoping that maybe you could be exaggerating a little, as this makes my brothers and sisters look slightly hypocritical!

I do not consider myself spiritual.
I do not treat non-believers badly.
I simply share the truth of the Living God with them.....
and, unfortunately, some, just a few, see that as judging, condemning, being superior, etc.
those are the feelings one gets when God is convicting one's soul.
